About licenses for GitHub Advanced Security
Note that GitHub may apply a temporary authorization hold for the value of the usage-based costs in advance, which will appear as a pending charge in your account's payment method.
If you want to use GitHub Advanced Security features on any repository apart from a public repository on GitHub, you will need a GitHub Advanced Security license, available with GitHub Enterprise Cloud or GitHub Enterprise Server. For information about how you can try GitHub Enterprise with GitHub Advanced Security for free, see "Setting up a trial of GitHub Enterprise Cloud" and "Setting up a trial of GitHub Advanced Security" in the GitHub Enterprise Cloud documentation.
Note: If you change the visibility of a public repository to private then GitHub Advanced Security will be disabled for that repository.
