You can prevent users from creating organizations on your GitHub Enterprise appliance.

  1. As a site admin, sign in to your GitHub Enterprise instance at http(s)://[hostname]/login.

  2. In the upper-right corner of any page, click . Rocketship icon for accessing site admin settings

  3. On the left side of the page, click Advanced Settings. Advanced Settings tab

  4. Under Add a new setting, type disable_user_org_creation as a key and true as its value (leaving Default selected). New setting

  5. Click Add. Add setting

You should now see the new setting listed:

Users (everyone except site administrators) will no longer be able to create organizations:
